Who is Sober Something?

46691040_2176459265946370_555525496859787264_nThis is a personal account of my battle with an alcohol use disorder and my journey to and through recovery and wellness.  It’s about the lessons I have learned along the way and the lessons I am still learning as the days turn into weeks, months and years and every day of continued sobriety is another day that I am truly grateful for.  This is my story, not unlike a million other stories out there, but I hope that perhaps parts of it will be helpful and inspirational to a few others across the globe who are embroiled in the battle to regain control of their lives and put down the bottle for once and for all.  Every day that I have now is a wonder and though I am still working through my recovery, I believe that life is better with a clear head and an honest heart.

For more about me please feel free to have a look at my coaching website: Be The Change Coaching

Professionally I am an IMCSA Master Coach working with individuals, families, groups, communities and organisations to empower people to live courageously.  My coaching is based on the systemic modality which gives everyone in the system the opportunity to become more wholehearted and authentic in their personal and professional lives. My work as a Recovery Coach allows me the space to work with people who are challenged with substance use and addictive behaviour disorders. Through creative awareness and personal empowerment we can all reach our unique potentials and find riches in all elements of our lives.

As Maya Angelou says, “Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away.”
